Lift Ops - Team Lead Summer

**Job Title**: Lift Operations Summer Team Lead

**Department**: Mountain Operations

**Reporting Manager**: Manager, Duty

**Role Status**: part time, seasonal

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the training, coaching, and overseeing of lift operations staff
- Assist with pre-operational checks & closing procedures and conducting daily lift inspections
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels for efficient lift operation
- Coaching and motivating staff to maintain a high standard of customer service
- Assist with the training of staff on all operating and safety procedures of fixed grip chairlifts
- Covering breaks for lift staff when required
- Assist with the preparation of schedules
- Reporting guest comments, employee relations issues and liability concerns directly to the Duty Manager
- Assisting with transport and providing labor for various jobs
- Assisting with daily office tasks

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 season winter & summer operations experience
- Knowledge of Grouse Mountain Resort policies and procedures
- Knowledge of detachable, fixed grip & conveyor lift systems
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Possess proven leadership abilities
- Possess good computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Class 5 drivers license preferred

Working Conditions
Summer Lift Operators perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions. Hours of operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include rotation of shifts, day/evening shifts, and weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time and physical assistance of guests loading the chairlift.
