Due to record growth, we need a professional logistics coordinator to join our team.
You love coordinating, planning, and reviewing outbound shipments. You love a fast-paced environment communicating with internal and external customers. You love contacting carriers and setting up accurate, cost-effective, and timely shipments across Canada. It’s a bonus if you have experience analyzing and planning carriers, lanes, and financial performance.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- This role is essential to getting the products to the end-user timely and cost-effectively.
- Oversees the selection and delivery process to ensure accuracy of the orders and communicates between departments. (Client Services, Sales, Projects, etc.)
- Responsible for oversight and maintenance of database(s) of logistics information.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of DC systems and proven ability to process/troubleshoot all transaction types.
- Track KPIs and report on supply chain performance.
- Evaluate vendor operations (e.g., freight forwarders) according to quality standards.
- Understand and follow all corporate safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, ready at workstation for assigned shift times.
- Maintain a positive attitude and approachability, working effectively solo and in a team setting.
- Read paperwork for instructions, and complete and sign off on a variety of warehouse/carrier documentation.
- Handle invoicing, quotes, BOL, and other paperwork as required (Administration).
- Maintain focus to identify opportunities with processes and relationships with Carriers.
- High detail in looking at data and ability to identify patterns, exceptions, and opportunities.
- Coordinate loading dock activity with customers/carriers - communicating instructions respectfully.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment during operation.
- Participate in cross-training activities as required - willing to move between tasks as required.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Ensures all production orders are shipped to customers promptly and adhere to delivery schedules.

This role will work closely with our Warehouse and Logistics Manager, Operations Manager, Production Supervisors, Group Leaders, Projects Team, and Client Services team.

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**:
- People First
- 2 Years of Experience in Logistics/Supply Chain in a mid-sized organization.
- Experience with bar code systems is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact
- Exhibit strong logic and calm demeanor, making good decisions and prioritization under pressure.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting - kitchen cabinet experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal.
**POTENTIAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT PATH: LOGISTICS ANALYST (12-18 months)**
- Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data, including the product's availability, reliability of transport and delivery at the customer location, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
- Responsible for oversight and maintenance of database(s) of logistics information.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of DC systems and proven ability to process/troubleshoot all transaction types.
- Exhibit strong logic and calm demeanor, making good decisions and prioritization under pressure.
- Track KPIs and report on supply chain performance.
