Inventory Coordinator

- The Inventory Coordinator will report to the Senior Operations Manager and work across business lines in the coordinating of supplies and product inventory, as well as supplier and vendor negotiations. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of sourcing, packaging, acquiring, and accounting for all materials required and products produced by the facility. The Coordinator will manage all aspects of the shipping routes and delivery, with specific regard for customer satisfaction, as well as maintain record keeping for inventory coming and going out of the facility.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate daily activities for inventory associates as it pertains to the receiving of outbound cannabis, receiving of new inventory from production, cycle counting, and movement of all cannabis throughout the assigned facility;
- Oversee the updating of inventory counts in current systems as cannabis is transacted and moved during regular production hours;
- Train and oversee the work of the inventory associates as well as other production staff who may be responsible for the movement of cannabis;
- Reconcile, correct and properly align counts between inventory system and the physical inventory should discrepancy occur;
- Support in identifying the root causes for all inventory discrepancies and communicate the cause to all relevant stakeholders;
- Support in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory systems;
- Work closely with the Inventory Control Manager to help identify the root causes for all inventory discrepancies and help to improve systems and controls related to the inventory management process;
- Prepare and maintain inventory reports as required;
- Verify the daily accuracy of inventory;
- Prepare accurate outbound manifests for B2B and internal cannabis transaction.
- Other duties as may be required.
- WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or relevant field;
- Exceptional time management skills; and
- Strong documentation and record keeping aptitude.
You are TECHNICALLY SAVVY, proficient with logistics and inventory software, MS Office Suite and other ERP platforms.
You are an EXCEPTIONAL COMMUNICATOR, with strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills and coordination skills.
You are a STRATEGIC PROBLEM SOLVER, analytical in mindset and capable of interpreting laws and regulations, tracking multiple facets of supply chain and logistics, and coordinating vendors/suppliers and inventory to ensure on time delivery and accountability.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years’ experience in logistics management, inventory control and customer service;
- Experience working with ERP systems and inventory control platforms;
- Strong experience with word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
