**Position Overview**

Reporting to the HR Director, the position is responsible for managing and supporting specific HR functions, focusing on talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement events. Within these areas, the HR Specialist provides policy and procedure advice to managers and employees and also contributes to assisting with development and implementation of other HR policies, procedures and projects.

**Talent acquisition**: Facilitate the full cycle recruitment and selection process ensuring that the organization attracts and retains the best talent to meet its short

**Onboarding**: Works closely with hiring managers and new hires to create a welcoming and supportive environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.

**Employee engagement events**: Chairs both the AMA Social Committee and annual Staff Retreat Committee; guide volunteer committee members to plan and execute well-organized and impactful events aimed at boosting employee morale, fostering team spirit and enhancing workplace culture.

**Foster teamwork**: As a valued member of the HR team, work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues in a team-focused approach, including cross training of duties, to support HR goals and organizational priorities.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related discipline.
- A CPHR designation is preferred.
- Four years of related professional HR experience and knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.
- Solid work experience, with greatest strength in talent acquisition and employee engagement related initiatives.

**Skills**
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to juggle and reprioritize based on changing business demands.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and recommend solutions to issues/challenges.
- Demonstrated team player that contributes to the overall HR operations and business plan goals.
- Self-directed and adaptable to thrive within a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive issues and confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate various activities and initiatives.
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage SEO, search functionality, user analytics and other web support functions.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, coping with frequent deadlines.

The salary for this range for role is $72,462 - 94,199.

Pay: $72,462.00-$94,199.00 per year
