**Overview** **Requirements**: - Proven experience as a drywall taper/finisher (2+ years preferred) - Knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques - Ability to use hand tools and power tools related to the trade - Physically fit and capable of standing, bending, lifting (50 lbs), and working on scaffolding or ladders - Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection) considered an asset **Experience** - Proven experience in drywall finishing. - Familiarity with caulking, construction painting, and general maintenance person skills is advantageous. - Ability to read blueprints and understand project plans is essential. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. * - **Work Schedule**: - **Full-time position** - typically **40 to 50 hours per week**: - Standard workdays**:Monday to Friday**, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (start/end times may vary by site) - **Occasional evening or weekend work** may be required to meet deadlines or during peak project phases - **Overtime available** during high-volume projects, compensated according to labor standards - **Site-to-site travel** within Halifax and surrounding HRM areas **Compensation & Benefits**: - Competitive hourly wage based on experience - WSIB or WCB coverage - Health & dental benefits (if applicable) - Travel/mileage reimbursement for out-of-town work - Opportunities for overtime and advancement **Who Should Not Apply**: - Those **unable to perform physically demanding tasks**, including lifting heavy materials and working at height. - Individuals **unwilling to comply with safety protocols** or use required personal protective equipment (PPE) - Those **uncomfortable working both independently and as part of a team** on fast-paced construction sites. **Contact Information** **Phone**: +1 (647) 581 8335 Available Monday to Friday (Please call or text) Please include your name, relevant experience.
