Maintenance Technician

Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. (Bilton) is looking for a skilled **_Maintenance Technician _**to join our team

**Location**:Innisfail, Alberta **Schedule**:Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Handle general building maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and system repairs to maintain safe and functional facilities.
- As requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Heavy-duty mechanic, perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment (i.e. welding machines, hydraulic systems, forklifts, and other machinery)
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure all equipment operates smoothly.
- Assist the Heavy-Duty mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, and other team members on assigned projects.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize equipment downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Various additional labourer tasks, as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Experience in industrial maintenance in a shop environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical).
- Proactive attitude towards facility upkeep and ensuring a safe, functional working environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance tasks (i.e. carpentry, plumbing)
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
