**POSITION**:Transportation Admin Summer Student (Competition #2025-21)**

**LOCATION**: Public Works Department - OCAB

**EMPLOYMENT STATUS**: Temporary Full-Time(May 5, 2025 - Aug 29, 2025)

**HOURS OF WORK**: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. (40hrs/week)

**REPORTING TO**: Supervisor of Transportation

**UNION AFFILIATION**:Non-union

**WAGE**: 2025 summer student rate: $18.00/hr

Providing support for transportation (roads) operations projects, such as asphalt crack sealing, trail corridor fencing, and phragmites control program. GPS surveying of road and storm infrastructure. Traffic counts, data management, coordination of traffic signal repair, and other duties as assigned. Working indoors and outdoors.

**QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS**:

- To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the fall of 2025.
- G2 or G driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program in civil engineering or related discipline is an asset.
- **-** You are currently enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and will be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the fall of 2025
- Your driving record from last year is still acceptable (if applicable)
