**The Opportunity**
We are looking for
**Summer Vacation Replacements (Summer Students)** to join our Woodstock Parts Distribution Center
As part of the General Motors Woodstock team, you will be scheduled to provide summer vacation coverage for our warehouse operations team member.
**Additional Job Description**
**Please read the following requirements for the SVR (Summer Student) position to ensure you are prepared to meet these expectations.**
- Ability to work on a temporary full-time basis providing summer vacation coverage.
- Must be available to work days of afternoon shifts.
- Weekend shifts and other overtime may be required.
- Report for work on-time for all scheduled shifts to support operations, throughput and quality goals.
- An exemplary level of safety awareness and compliance. Understand, support and execute all work in safe manner and comply with a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority
- Demonstrate professional and respectful behaviour. We have an inclusive workplace.
- Ability to read, interpret and adhere to documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies.
**Physical Demands of the Job**:
- Walk and/or transport automotive parts via carts.
- Reach, move, push, pull, and/or lift automotive parts with both arms.
- Bend and/or twist repetitively.
- Grip and pinch with both hands and use various hand tools as well as a scanner.
**Interested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications**:
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which include a**comprehensive assessment and background check.**
- At least 18 years of age.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
