**Job Purpose**:
Under the authority of the Facilities lead, working closely with the purchasing, the prototyping and engineering team, the production planner acts as an intermediary between a company's project management and engineering team and the prototyping unit. He is required to adapt to stock and lead time constraints: must plan the prototyping to be started in relation to the development of the engineering and the availability of materials and meet customer expectations.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Draw up prototyping production schedules and comply with them as strictly as possible (time and material);
- Reduce surpluses and stock shortages by optimizing inventory management and lowering costs;
- Work closely with program managers (operations) and technical managers (engineering) on project planning and monitoring.
- Launch production (prototyping) and supply requests considering the engineering readiness, size of orders, manufacturing and delivery times;
- Create the production jobs in the ERP system and launch the jobs in collaboration with the prototyping manufacturing lead.
- In collaboration with the buyers team, maintain an up-to-date and orderly inventory of mechanical and electrical parts, tools and equipment;
- Ensure that the impacts of BOM changes in work in progress or for future productions requested by engineering department are adequately communicated to production, sub-contractors and purchasing departments;
- In collaboration with prototyping production, quality and sub-contractors teams, organize the work to ensure traceability of components;
- Any other related tasks.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer diploma or equivalent;
- 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Capacity to estimate estimated production times as well as possible risks, possible delays and the additional costs that these could generate;
- Capability to use SAP to anticipate the maximum storage time of different materials while considering production constraints;
- Ability to react quickly to accelerate or slow down the production rate according to circumstances
- High availability to deal with various contingencies;
- Experience in automotive mechanics (electric vehicles an asset);
- Good knowledge of electrical equipment: conduits, junction box, wiring, fasteners, tools, harnesses, etc.;
- Ability to read engineering drawings;
- Comfortable with the Office suite, especially with Excel and Outlook;
- Knowledge of SAP ERP software would be an advantage;
- Autonomy, meticulousness and resourcefulness;
- Good organizational skills;
- Speed of execution;
- Bilingualism
