**Description**

As the captive finance company of the Audi, Ducati and Volkswagen brands in Canada, VW Credit Canada, Inc., also known as Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance, is a wholly owned subsidiary of VW Credit, Inc. Audi Finance and Volkswagen Finance offers a wide range of leasing, retail financing and protection plans expertly tailored to meet the needs of our Customers. Additionally, we provide commercial financing products to Audi and Volkswagen Dealers to support expanding dealership capabilities and enhancing overall operations.

**ROLE SUMMARY**
- The Insurance Performance and Planning Analyst will be responsible for providing detailed reporting, forecasting and financial analysis to management for co-evaluation of business performance and financial results relating to the insurance business. This role also ensures Protection Plan products' Pricing and Investment Income are properly controlled through analysis, as well as through budgeting, approvals, and alignment with the corporate strategy.
- This is a contract position for 18 months.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Internal Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with various business units to review, challenge, and validate key assumptions. Proactively researching and back-testing outcomes to ensure reliable and predictive pricing results.
- Analyzing and approving Marketing Program Requests and dealer incentives programs relating to the insurance business.
- Develop pricing-based financial statement projections (written vs. earned premiums, reserve calculations, investment income, etc.). Review monthly Actuals with an eye for pricing relationships and impacts. conduct variance reporting, provide recommendation on pricing adjustment as necessary and improve pricing/planning models accordingly
- Run periodic product profitability analysis, identify growth opportunity, review results with business team, steer business operation towards profitability target

**External Collaboration**
- Collaborating with external provider to assure quality data delivery
- Identify internal control issues, process improvement possibilities and redesign processes when needed
- Review, validate and approve purchases financial commitments/payment request from vendors against budget and according to corporate policy

**Responsible for Planning and Reporting**
- Develop, build, and maintain a multi-year financial planning tool for all VWFS insurance entities (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Conduct the monthly, annual and 5-year financial plan for insurance business.
- Collaborate with different aspects of the business in order to improve current business model and expand new business opportunities (dealer reinsurance, direct underwriting, reinsurance / fronting arrangements etc.) Incorporate new development into planning tools, ensure profitability and risks are accessed and presented.
- Identify process improvement possibilities and, redesign processes and financial models under new IFRS standards.
- Analyze monthly financial results, understand deviation against forecast/budget, steer business operation and ensure objectives accomplishment.
- Test data required for IFRS 17, implement IFRS 17 changes to planning processes

**Qualifications**

**EXPERIENCE**
- 3 years of experience in forecast, planning and financial analysis
- Desired - Prior automotive finance and/or insurance business experience

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s degree in a finance/ accounting
- DESIRED:

- Related Masters or Graduate Degree
