About The Role*
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Procurement Coordinator has responsibility for procurement of all consumables and/or services. This position is responsible for all aspects of purchasing and assessing all requests against the purchasing policies. Management and maintenance of all capital assets will also fall under this position’s circle of responsibility.

What You Will Do*
- Process all purchase requests following policy guidelines, including purchasing through the University
- Liaise with University departments for related radioactive and biosafety material ordering
- Timely processing of all Purchase Orders and required Justification Forms
- Input all purchase orders into Simply
- Receive orders and confirm accuracy
- Follow up on all back orders
- Timely communication with CPDC staff regarding status of their orders
- Coordinate all related backup for vendor invoice processing (PO, cost justification, packing slip, invoices etc.)
- Maintain log of purchase order history/inventory tracking spreadsheets
- Negotiation with vendors in order to secure best possible pricing; obtain vendor payment terms
- Contact with customs broker as well as shipping vendors when required
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Backup for material release and retain documentation as required by Manufacturing
- Backup for inventory maintenance, control and replenishment
- Perform monthly inventory counts and ensure inventory costing is up to date on the master inventory listing
- Review pending orders, file and prepare backup for monthly accrual
- Responsible for adhering to Purchasing Policy and ensuring the staff are following the guidelines
- Work within the team environment of Finance Department and Manufacturing sites
- Complete all other related duties that support the core activities and mission of the company

**Skills and Experience**

Minimum high school diploma required
- 2-5 years' of relevant experience
- Previous experience with bookeeping, basic accounting principles, data input and processing reconciliation is an asset
- Experience with Simply Accounting, month end close and year end close is considered an asset
- Attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills
