**What You’ll be Doing**

As the **Finance Lead**, you will be assisting in leading the Finance Team and will lead all financial, accounting and controlling initiatives including overseeing daily account operations, preparation and analysis of financial statements, compliance, and more

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Supervise and lead the finance team, focusing on performance and development
- Oversee daily operations including accounts payable, receivable, and preparation and analysis of financial statements
- Coordinate external audit reviews and implementation of recommendations
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis on variance, trends, and commentary
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Administer compliance and reporting for US and Canadian governments
- Guide, mentor, coach, and empower your team, fostering their professional development and growth through goals and expectations
- Manage ERP system upgrades, optimization and management
- Provide strategic insights, recommendations and implementations on operational and financial matters

**Who you are**:

- 5+ years of financial accounting and reporting experience
- 3+ years of experience leading a finance team in either a team lead or supervisor role
- CPA, CMA, CA or CGA designation
- Experienced with multi-currency financial reporting is an asset
- Demonstrated ability of leading, coaching and mentoring team members
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels of stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills with cross functional teams
- Strategic, adaptable, and resourceful, with strong business acumen and the ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations
- Experienced in ERP system implementation or optimization
