Join us in supporting a leading organization within the Food and Beverage Manufacturing industry, focusing on enhancing their financial operations and strategy. This role provides essential support to the senior finance leadership, driving efficiency across core financial processes and systems. We are seeking a resourceful problem solver with a strong command of accounting and financial principles, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership: Lead and execute timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes, collaborating with cross‑functional department managers. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare comprehensive monthly and fiscal financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee and submit necessary industry‑specific government filings and payments (e.g., related to beer and liquor). Strategic Planning: Actively assist the finance team with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and the activation/management of financial systems. Analysis & Insights: Complete regular deliverables, including sales reports, inventory analysis, month‑end commentary, and other detailed financial analyses to support strategic decisions, such as contract negotiations and product profitability. Process Improvement: Review current financial processes and activities to suggest and implement improvements that ensure scaling, compliance, and efficiency. Team Support: Support the preparation of documentation for external financial audits and work with other departments to ensure the integrity and efficient sharing of financial information. Team Management (as applicable): Provide authentic leadership and guidance, leveraging team strengths to optimize performance and foster professional development. Qualifications Education: Post‑secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or food and beverage manufacturing environment. Skills: Strong quantitative and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Expert knowledge of finance and accounting procedures and regulations. Technical Proficiency: Strong technical aptitude utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills. Experience with financial modeling and project management. Mindset: Understands the critical need for confidentiality and thoroughness. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, consistently meeting tight deadlines. Assets: A CPA designation is considered a significant asset.
