Service Manager

P&R Truck Centre is the Western Star and Freightliner dealer for southern Vancouver Island, as well as the Mitsubishi Fuso and Doepker Trailer dealer for Vancouver Island, and Trail King Trailer dealer for British Columbia. **We are looking to hire a Service Manager for our busy Duncan, BC location**

As a Service Manager for P&R Truck Centre, you will be responsible for managing an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, technician training and quality workmanship while improving productivity and meeting department objectives & goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing the Service Technician team, ensuring team members are performing their duties as outlined in their job descriptions.
- Conduct yearly performance reviews with all service team members.
- Work with the dealer and the management team in developing and implementing strong administration policies and procedures.
- Assist all service staff in the completion of all repair orders. Assist techs in their comments and stories, and work with service and warranty administrators to ensure that all work orders are processed and closed in a timely matter.
- Work with administration staff to manage and reconcile technician time on a daily basis.
- Work with the service team to ensure that there is a steady workflow and that all customers needs are identified, with their expectations met.
- Develop strong customer relationships, meeting with customer when required, to answer questions, and resolve disputes over charges, and most importantly, develop new business opportunities.
- Participate in the company management team, attending meetings when required, to help create the company future.
- Develop strong relationships with all factory support representatives.
- Assist all dealership personnel in maintaining levels of customer service and product support.
- Review open repair orders over 3 days with Service Advisors to ensure follow up and closure.
- Seek out and securing new service business.
- Investigate the progress of vehicle completion by conducting periodic spot checks of all jobs throughout the day to ensure timely repairs, quality workmanship and cleanliness.
- Working with HR, schedule technicians for required dealership training courses for Technicians and service team members.
- Hold monthly staff and Technician meetings.
- Interview potential Service Department employees
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience within the Heavy-Duty Truck Industry
- Customer Service Oriented - we go the extra mile for our customers.
- Team player, able to multi-task & prioritize in a busy dealership environment.
- Experience with Procede considered an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
