Indigenous Partnership Development Lead

The Ontario government is building a connected health care system centered around patients, families and caregivers. These changes will strengthen local services, making it easier for patients to navigate the system and transition between providers.
Ontario Health Teams are a new way of organizing and delivering care that is more connected to patients in their local communities. There are 58 Ontario Health Teams across the province providing full provincial coverage and ensuring that every person in Ontario can have the support of an Ontario Health Team. The goal is to ensure that everyone in Ontario can benefit from better coordinated, more integrated care.
Children’s Centre Thunder Bay is the administrative support partner to the Noojmawing Sookatagaing Ontario Health Team.
The OHT is currently seeking to fill the following position:
Indigenous Partnership Development Lead
Full Time Contract Position

As the Indigenous Partnership Development Lead will play a lead role in developing Indigenous membership and partnerships within and with the Noojmawing Sookatagaing Ontario Health Team (OHT). This position is responsible for advancing Indigenous membership, fostering meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations, and contributing to the ongoing development of structures, processes, and supports that enrich Indigenous relationships with and within the OHT. The Indigenous Partnership Development Lead will also drive the development and implementation of methods for evaluating the OHT's commitment to Indigenous partnership and its contribution to the principles of truth and reconciliation.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Indigenous studies, community development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous culture, values, principles and governance models
- Valid Driver's license and ability to travel within the City, District and region.
- Ability to work flexibly based on project needs.
