**The Role**

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is looking to hire a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to help stand up a new function within our Finance team. This is a hybrid role, which will work both in the office and remotely from home.

In joining our team as the new Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, you would
- Ensure the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and any other financial information required to deliver to WCLC Executive and Board of Directors and other internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and direct WCLC's financial management and performance reporting. Developing & managing analysis, reporting, and financial performance reporting metrics to ensure accountability
- Support internal business units in the provision of timely, accurate, and consistent management reporting to the organization, effectively communicating the performance of the business and the required actions necessary to meet and/or exceed strategic objectives.
- Maintain and implement best practice budgeting and forecasting policies & procedures and leverages technology and people to maximize process efficiencies and reporting effectiveness
- Manage the Financial Planning & Analysis team including providing mentoring to direct reports and others on the finance team.
- Support business units in the development of business case/initiatives including post-investment realization
- Evaluate and screen business case / initiatives to expected performance metrics such as ROI, risk mitigation, organizational success and post-investment benefits realization.
- Act as a financial consultancy within the organization that provides financial expertise, support and guidance to operational and executive management to enable effective decision making

**Qualifications**
- University degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related discipline; professional financial designation CPA required. An equivalent combination of financial-related education, training and experience may be considered
- 5 years of finance/accounting experience with at least 4 years in financial planning and analysis (budgeting, forecasting, trend/variance analysis, modeling)
- Experience leading finance teams
- Financial planning and analysis technical skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) as well as enterprise accounting software (GP or equivalents) and budgeting software
- Sound judgement and decision making
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent people leadership and relationship management skills
