Program Manager

As a Program Manager, you will manage and oversee multiple software and hardware development projects.
You will develop and manage project estimates, schedules, resource plans and budgets. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the team understands the project objectives and delivers on time and on budget.
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Team Managers and Program Managers to plan all projects and supporting activities. You will be responsible for risk management for assigned projects. You will define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track all activities from development to delivery of projects. On a regular basis, you will present KPIs and provide status updates on your projects.
On a daily basis, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams as well as team managers to understand your projects progress, roadblocks, content changes, priority updates and resource allocation. You will then be able to track project execution against the plan and take immediate action to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Plan, organize and direct activities related to engineering programs;
- Lead, document and manage all activities related to bids, proposals and participate in business cases;
- Participate in the preparation of the Project Development Plan (PDP) and follow up on it regularly;
- Develop, monitor, maintain and publish all project plans, budgets, milestones, timelines, deliverables and resource plan;
- Ensure interdepartmental coordination and communication in the execution of programs;
- Client management (in collaboration with the sales team) in the context of a product development contract awarded to Kinova;
- Identify, document and disclose all project risks;
- Develop and track mitigation measures for all project risks;
- Understand, clarify, negotiate and document any changes to project content;
- Analyze, document and publish the impacts of content changes on projects;
- Work closely with the Product Manager to establish a realistic product roadmap when applicable.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience);
- Minimum of 7 years prior experience in program and/or project management;
- Strong planning, estimating and forecasting skills;
- Strategic and easy to make decisions and solve problems;
- Ability to communicate effectively with the executive team;
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
- Highly organized, methodical and self-directed individual;
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent;
- Advanced skills in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, BI tools;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;
- Adapt quickly and easily to changes in the organization.
ASSETS
- PMP certification or equivalent;
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / Professional Scrum Master (PSM);
- Knowledge of quality management principles and methodologies and applicable standards in industrial robotics (UL1740, ISO 10218, TS 15066) and medical (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, IEC 62304).
