**Responsibilities**
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for mileage, time, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in the maintenance of delivery vehicles, including basic automotive repair tasks as needed.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Experience with freight handling and transportation logistics.
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
