**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up of freight.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates on routes, schedules, and any changes.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities.
- Collaborate with supply chain personnel to optimize shipping processes.
- Handle inquiries related to shipping status, freight details, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles, including 3PL (Third Party Logistics).
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is essential.
- Strong phone etiquette with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems; experience with AS400 or SyteLine is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
