**Overview**:
The role of a CAD Technician is to work as a team member on small and large projects under direct guidance and supervision. Work will include performing a variety of drafting tasks from contract drawings, addendum, specifications, written documents and oral instruction in providing accurate manufacturing production and drawings related to trailers, lifting products and beyond. Working in our Winnipeg, MB office, you will be given the opportunity to further develop your skills while growing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using SolidWorks.
- Plotting final drawing products for submissions.
- Develop CAD preliminary design and construction drawings following CAD standards.
- Complete design redlines markups and ensure reviewer comments received are corrected and addressed.
- Preparing material lists and others as may be required.
- Maintain organized files and records of all CAD drawings and related documents. - Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience working as a CAD Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in drafting software SolidWorks
- Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards and practices
- Working knowledge of basic quantity and take-off calculations, such as volume and area.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
- Basic understanding of structual design concept a desirable asset.
- Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with others on routine and complex tasks and projects.
