**Role: VP Project Delivery**

**Summary of Position**

This leadership position within SNC Lavalin Nuclear Canada is responsible for leadership of the
Project Controls (PC) organization, the Project Management staff and establishment of
appropriate processes, tools, standards and governance to ensure consistent and successful
delivery of all projects across the Nuclear Canada business.

This position will be responsible for recruiting and development of talent, bringing innovative
processes and digital tools to the functions of Project Controls, Project Management and
collaboration with other business units across the SNC Nuclear sector and the larger SNCL
group.

The position reports to President & CEO of Candu Inc.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the following functions in support of the overall Candu Energy Business Unit:

- Project Management
- Estimating
- Project Controls
- Personnel Forecasting and Levelizing (Integrated forecasting of staff needs across projects)
- Levelized Cost of Electricity modeling for new nuclear new build estimates
- Be the primary representative to the SNC executive team to:

- Define project management and project controls processes and business
- Oversee and develop, in collaboration with the Sector President, and the senior management team, an annual business and operating plan that supports and aligns the Nuclear Business Unit and the Sector’s long-term operations and strategy.
- Establish and oversee a governance system (principles, policies, framework, process, tools etc) aligned to the Business Unit strategy for project delivery and execution.
- Act as a role model to all staff, fostering a corporate culture that promotes collaboration, ethical practices, customer/client focus and service and encourages individual integrity to drive business results.
- Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of talented employees at all levels.
- Champion and lead the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Develop, in collaboration with other senior leadership team members, strategy for development of Project Controls professionals and leaders, strategy for development and retention of Project Managers and Project Directors at all levels to support projects ranging from 50k-5B CAD
- Building high performance and highly effective team in a highly technical, regulated environment with high regard for safety and quality.
- Management and mentorship of personnel to drive high performance behaviours and outcomes
- Collaborate with other business units across the globe

**Ideal Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 20 years of relevant experience
- Significant experience delivering major EPC projects and portfolios in a heavy industrial setting.
- Experience in process improvement and people management
- Commitment to health, safety, quality and integrity programs
- Significant negotiating and commercial management experience with large, sophisticated customers
- Significant experience in defining and executing major projects project controls, financial reporting and risk management programs
- Stakeholder management and customer relationship aptitudes
- Interface with senior levels of the organization (up to CEO levels)
- Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate in simple messages
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong presentation skills

**Travel / Mobility Requirements**
- Position will be headquartered out Mississauga Ontario with frequent travel to customer sites and some international travel.
