Skyland Travel Inc., a niche travel agency that specializes in the local Japanese market is looking for an experienced travel consultant. Due to the nature of the clientele served, the ability to speak fluent Japanese is required.
Company Description
Skyland Travel Inc. has been in buisness for over 30+ years in the Vancouver area, serving the local Japanese market. The business primarily services Japanese clients looking for air tickets and rail passes for Japan. The company also operates Escapes.ca, a well known and established online travel agency that specializes in leisure all-inclusive vacations. Our office is located in Vancouver and we do allow for the ability to work remotely.
Key Duties
- Assist customers with building itineraries and booking air, hotel, rail pass, transfers and trave insurance on multiple booking platforms.
- Invoicing sales and providing to receipts and invoices to customers.
- Processing ticket requests and managing all schedule changes that may be submitted by airlines.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of airline contracts with preferred airline suppliers.
- Maintain excellent customer service and attention to details.
- Stay up to date on industry news, airline rules and other industry requirements and updates.
- Work well with other team members.
**Qualifications**:
- 3+ years of travel consultant experience.
- Experience using Sabre GDS.
- Experience using Trams and ClientBase is benefitial.
- Knowledge of air ticket sales including airline contracts, refunds, ticket exchanges and net fares.
- Excellent knowledge of Japan geography, cities, and airports.
- Knowledge of international airfare routing and Asia and Canada geography.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Ability to multi-task and be organized in a busy environment.
- Ability to work well without supervision once trained.
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
