Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform various manual labour tasks related to telecommunication construction;
- Experience operating a mini-excavator
- Must have G Licence in good standing
- Use rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows
- Operate various hand tools
- Operate small excavating equipment
- Complete accurately all work reports
- Regularly perform Health & Safety inspection of equipment and tools
- Maintain clean and safe work sites and vehicles
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Foreman
- Travel is required (per diem is paid)

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions;
- Ability to work with professionalism, interact politely with customers and the public, and demonstrate excellent work ethic;
- Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs;
- Ability to operate various small equipment in a safe manner;
- Must be able to work up to 10 hour days plus drive time
- Must be a self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
- Must be able to travel to out-of-town jobs (overnight per diem provided)
- Must join Liuna Local 183 - union

**Experience**:

- General civil construction experience or landscaping
- Experience operating excavating equipment (e.g. mini backhoe, excavator
- Telecommunications infrastructure experience is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $24.85 per hour
