Your Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a dependable, highly motivated individual for the position of Environmental Services II (cleaner/housekeeper) who is dedicated to both high-quality work and safety. This regular full-time position is located at the Sturgeon Community Hospital. The Environmental II position is responsible for routine and isolation cleaning protocols, disinfecting of patient rooms, clinical spaces, common areas, floor maintenance and assigned medical equipment and manual material handling on a daily basis within healthcare facilities, in accordance with Alberta Health Services standards and practices. Environmental Services work is done in areas where patients, staff and visitors are present and involves frequent interactions with patients, clients and staff. This position will also perform non-routine and deep cleaning tasks as assigned, so you must be willing to work with powered industrial equipment. Work at this level is differentiated from the ESI by a broader range and variety of routine and non-routine cleaning tasks, increased level of independence and problem solving. Description:
As an Environmental II, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with intensive or specialized cleaning within a hospital or facility associated with industrial cleaning supplies and by using powered industrial equipment. Your typical duties may include operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance, thorough washing of ceilings and windows and emptying hazardous waste. You may also provide training/orientation to Environmental staff.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of a computer including Microsoft Office. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs of force.
