**Remote Fitness Coordinator (Ft McMurray Area) - Position available immediately**

Fitness Brigade's expert team implements fitness, recreation, health and wellness programs at remote worksites including oil and gas, mining, construction, defense and security. Our programs are fun, engaging, professional, comprehensive, and holistic. Our mission is to support our clients to keep their team members active, healthy and happy at work, which we believe contributes to a better workplace and a more successful company.

**Compensation**:
$270 per day

All travel expenses paid (flights From either Calgary or Edmonton to and from the site are provided)

**charter flights are provided to and from Calgary/Ft McMurray, or to and from Edmonton/Ft McMurray**

All meals and accommodation

**Roles and Responsibilities**

In this role, the individual will have duties and responsibilities for executing many elements of the fitness and recreation programs provided to Fitness Brigades Client.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

- Encourage and motivate clients to look at fitness as a positive element in a healthy lifestyle
- Demonstrating exercises and routines to clients
- Assisting clients in exercises to minimize injury and promote fitness
- Modify exercises according to clients’ fitness levels
- Monitoring client progress
- Providing information or resources on general fitness and health issues
- Leading group exercise classes such as spin, yoga, boot camp, or the like;
- Providing emergency first aid if necessary
- Scheduling and hosting recreational activities such as pool tournaments, card tournaments, and other similar social gatherings;
- Scheduling and providing instruction on the use of golf simulators;
- Scheduling and hosting weekly movie nights;
- Creating special events for special occasions such as Christmas, Halloween or other holidays;

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma;
- CFES, Canfit Pro, CPTN, CSEP or equivalent;
- Group exercise certificates are considered and asset;
- Strong preference given to those with a yoga certification or Martial Arts qualification;
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in the health and fitness industry;
- Computer literate with ability to use word processing programs and spreadsheet programs;
- First Aid Certificate;
