Bamford Produce Company Ltd. was established in 1881 and is a fourth-generation family business. Our company is a food service distributor and the only produce foodservice distributor with stalls at the Ontario Food Terminal in Ontario. We also boast of being the only member of Proact in Ontario.
- Job brief_
The primary focus of this position is to research potential clients, and cold call prospects and develop relationships with potential customers and Bamford Produce. The job holder reports to the management at Bamford Produce Ltd and works alongside the sales team striving to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth in the company.
- Responsibilities_
- Act as an inside sales agent promoting Bamford Produce Ltd.
- Assign leads to the sales team to transition into full-time customers
- Assist and act as a backup to the CSR team with data entry
- Run daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Maintain professional, team relationships with coworkers and customers
- Make outgoing soft calls to an existing customer base that is currently not ordering or has stopped buying:

- Outgoing cold calls to CPS locations introduce Bamford as a preferred vendor
- Inputting call information into the CRM
- Utilizing Produce Pro to print off price lists, update master files and cross-reference the current customer base with potential customers.
- Customer Service calls current customers for quality and service checkups.
- Review the variance report weekly to identify any customers who have stopped buying or have a decrease in sales volume
- Proactively follow up with Groupex Customers
- Job Terms_
- Job Type: Permanent Full-time, 40 hours per week, adjustment pending on business need
- Probationary Period: 3 months or 480 hours, whichever longer
- Work Location: 100% remote
- Shift Requirement: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Compensation: Base Salary + Commission
- Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time
- Qualifications:_
- Understanding of sales positioning and sale tactics
- Previous related experience as a strong asset
- Food service industry knowledge, preferably in the produce industry
- College or university diploma
- Expertise and some competence in sales program administration and implementation
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of GTA maps and routes
