**Job Summary**:
Healthy Kids Eats Inc. is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our team in preparing nutritious, appealing meals specifically designed for children. This role is ideal for someone who loves cooking, values healthy eating, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and consistency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks according to established menus and nutrition guidelines for children.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, public health).
- Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes tailored for various age groups.
- Assist with planning, prepping, and batching meals for large quantities (e.g., 50-500 servings).
- Package and label meals appropriately for delivery or classroom distribution.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and organizing storage.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and cultural food needs.
- Participate in ongoing training in nutrition, food safety, and child-friendly meal planning.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, or child nutrition program preferred.
- Knowledge of healthy cooking practices, including reduced sodium, low sugar, and allergen-safe meals.
- Food Handler’s Certificate (required or willing to obtain).
- Ability to follow large-batch recipes accurately and consistently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and passion for healthy cooking for kids.
- Ability to lift 20+ kg and stand for extended periods.
- Vulnerable sector check or background clearance (as required for working with children).
