We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Customs Broker to join our team in Richmond, contributing to our mission of providing efficient and compliant customs brokerage services.

**General Summary**: As a Customs Broker at Sandhar Trucking Richmond, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive customs brokerage services in accordance with applicable regulations. This role involves expertise in Canadian Customs and other government departments' regulations, ensuring compliance with a diverse set of legislation related to International Trade. The position includes processing high and low-value entries (HVS/LVS) and offering consultative services to our valued customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process high and low-value entries in full compliance with Canadian Customs regulations.
- Provide expert customs brokerage services aligned with various government department laws and policies.
- Ensure adherence to customs, agriculture, food and drug, tariff, and valuation laws.
- Consult customers on international customs documentation and regulations.
- Navigate and demonstrate knowledge of different agency clearance requirements and release processes.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
**Educational Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary: Community College Diploma or Equivalent

**Professional Accreditation/Certification**:

- Canadian Customs Specialist (CCS) or (CSCB) qualified professional designation

**Related Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of current customs brokerage experience with rating/clearance done in full compliance with regulations.

**Other Specific Mandatory Experience Requirements**:

- Maintain required designations and achieve annual recurrency points.

**Solid Knowledge Of**:

- Excellent Mathematical Skills
- International Customs Documentation and Regulations
- Customs, Agriculture, Food and Drug, Tariff, and Valuation Laws
- Knowledge of Other Government Department Laws and Policies
- Different Agency Clearance Requirements and Release Processes

**Computer Literacy and Proficiency**:

- Excel - Basic
- Must achieve 25 WPM on data entry alphanumeric testing

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

- Richmond, BC V6V 0A3 (required)
