Responsibilities / Duties:

- Draft structural drawings, engineering designs and related technical information;
- Use computer aided design systems (CAD) to create drawings for building construction;
- Research and obtain standards and codes required by client to develop plans;
- Take direction from engineers and senior management to research drawings, catalogs and sketches to develop detailed dimensioned AutoCAD drawings;
- Filling design drawings according to codes and specifications for the design;
- Work directly in support of junior and senior engineers to cultivate specific designs required.

Skills / Attributes:

- Associate’s Degree in Drafting from an accredited college or university;
- Must be very precise, creative and detail-oriented;
- Develop accurate layouts, assembly drawings and details;
- Excellent verbal and communication skills;
- Organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines while performing under pressure.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K0A 1L0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
