W.F. Baird & Associates Coastal Engineers Ltd. (Baird) provides professional engineering and technical services related to the design of coastal structures and facilities that interact with the world’s oceans, lakes, and rivers. Baird is recognized for the successful completion of innovative and practical projects throughout North and South America, the Caribbean, Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

**_ While we presently operate under a hybrid model with in office requirements on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, this can change at any time based on company needs._**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lay out drawings sheets and drawing sets.
- Prepare design and construction drawings, base maps, figures, renderings and other graphics for projects using commercial software and internal protocols and client standards.
- Perform tasks such as digitizing, copying and scanning of drawings, prints and maps.
- Assist a diverse team of international engineers and scientist with all phases of projects
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 5-10 years of experience using AutoCAD, including reinforced concrete and structural steel details, the development of horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, profiles, sections, quantities, surfaces, and knowledge of CAD standards.
- Strong communication skills in English is required
- Experience in MicroStation.
- Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.

**Nice to Have Qualifications**:

- Experience drafting piers, wharfs, ferry terminals, retaining or flood walls, and steel floodgates or similar structures (e.g. steel barges or moveable steel bridges)
- Experience in Civil 3D software, GIS, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint
