**Overview**

**Flexible schedule**

**30 hours a week**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Document care provided and report any significant changes in client status to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with dementia care by engaging them in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices is essential.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to individuals with varying needs.
- Familiarity with nursing home environments and dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A clean background check is required prior to employment.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.24 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- supportive care: 1 year (preferred)

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence and vehicle (preferred)
