**_ W_**_hat you will be doing:_**:

- _ Provide client-centered settlement counselling services, including assessment, information and orientation at CCS offices and other community partner locations._
- _ Use initial assessment of newcomers to develop personalized settlement plans._
- _ Provide case management and supportive follow-up._
- _ Facilitate appropriate internal/external referrals to services required by clients that are not been provided by the program._
- _ Organize, plan, facilitate group sessions as required by contract, and are in line by client needs._
- _ Develop and implement community outreach plans to promote CCS programs and services._
- _ Provide online assessment, information and orientation_
- _ Actively participate in regular team and regional meetings._
- _ Maintain and update all client information in the OCMS database._
- _ Prepare and submit timely statistical and progress reports as required._
- _ Collaborate with the manager to develop and implement initiatives and/or focus activities to address newcomer needs. (e.g., financial literacy, youth, women)_
- _ Meet all program goals as assigned_

What are we looking for?_**
- _ Social Service Work diploma or Social Work degree from recognized institution or equivalent training in community work sectors_
- _ Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the settlement and/or community work sectors._
- _ Ability to engage clients via online communication tools such as Zoom, Teams, and Google classroom, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram etc._
- _ Excellent oral and written skills in English and fluency in Tamil is required_
- _ Ability to build and maintain strong, ongoing partnerships community agencies_
- _ Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills with participants, other agencies and the public._
- _ Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset._

**_ Compensation:_**_ _$29.09 _to _$32.37 based_ on experience_

**_ Hours of work_**_: _21 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required_
