**Assistant Cultivation Manager**

**Purpose of the Position**:
To assist the Cultivation Manager with the direction of all cultivation staff as well as all areas of Cultivation Management.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
Reporting to theCultivation Manager, the Assistant Cultivation Manager will be responsible for ensuring the facility is operating at its most optimal conditions for plant heath and quality.

Will be responsible for all aspects of the department in the absence of the Manager.

Working closely with the Cultivation Manager, to strategically accomplish all goals.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.
- Participate in all cultivation activities.
- Ensure all SOPs are followed and ensure strict crop hygiene and environmental practices are followed and enforced at all times.
- Maintain data integrity.
- Calibrate, operate, clean, and maintain equipment used.
- Manage and assist in post-production including packaging processes.
- Assist with testing.
- Assist with planning and development of future crops.
- Work with head grower to implement and manage crop strategies
- Monitor climate, heating, ventilation, shading, and irrigation strategies
- Analyze water testing results and determine nutrient strategies for crop
- Monitor production and quality
- Manage integrated pest management.
- Local travel may be required
- Other duties as required for the success of the department.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
**Knowledge**:

- Must have 5 years of Greenhouse/Indoor grow experience.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Must have experience in managing a team.
- Must have Cannabis experience in a Licensed Facility
- Post-secondary or equivalent experience in cannabis/horticultural industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Pesticide sprayer certification and asset

**Skills and Abilities**;
Must demonstrate the following skills;
- Strong verbal and analytical skills with accuracy in relation to data.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and capable of running greenhouse software.
- Highly reliable team player.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and basic computer skills
- Previous experience in a highly regulated environment

**Working Conditions/Physical Demands**
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Stand, sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Travel

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
