**Job Summary**

The experienced Lube Technician, under the direction of the Store Manager, will primarily be responsible to greet customers and help them maintain their vehicles. To accomplish this, the technician must devote himself/herself to perfect workmanship, fast service times, providing customers with information and a remarkable experience and being efficient. It is important that the technician contribute to the company’s overall expectations of quality and operation excellence.

**Job Duties**
- Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner
- Assist with inventory management
- Assess customers' needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods or services
- Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services
- Clean floors, fixtures and maintain a clutter free environment
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables
- If given that responsibility, compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift
- Co-operates with management in all areas pertaining to cost - utilities, shop supplies, product, cash in till, preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Deliver fast service times (15 minutes or less for oil changes/25 minutes or less for ancillary services) by following procedures and working in a synchronized fashion with other crew members and according to the calls and echoes procedures
- Encourage a positive team atmosphere that enables the store to meet or exceed sales goals and achieve consistently high levels of customer service
- Engage and interact with customers to create a positive experience
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures
- Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards

- Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to other staff, including demonstrating add-on sales and describing technical information to customers
- Handle customer complaints as they arise in a professional manner, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary

- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations

**Work Conditions**
- Attendance and participation in training
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Exposure to extremes in climate (i.e., cold in winter / hot in summer)
- Exposure to automotive hazards (i.e., hot fluids and surfaces, sharp edges etc.)
- Flexible hours including nights and weekends up to 44 hours per week and overtime
- Interaction with employees, management, and the public at large
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 lbs.
- Operation of desktop computer and peripherals
- Requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Uniforms are provided - Sweatshirts in winter and T-shirts in summer
