Sales Consultant

The Sales Consultant is responsible for growing sales by partnering with other franchise staff to provide outstanding customer service to all _TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®_ customers, through in-depth knowledge of company products and services. We are currently looking to fill a full-time position (40 hours a week).

**Responsibilities**:

- Acts as the first point of contact for new and existing customers, to establish a rapport and build confidence in _TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®_ services.
- Asks open-ended, probing questions to determine customer requirements and expectations.
- Directly and accurately input information into CRM software to estimate cost for customers, as well as scheduling needs for frontline staff.
- Complete thorough and accurate in-home consultations for customers, and present them with detailed estimates in a timely manner.
- Complete regular follow-up calls with current, and potential customers.
- Make recommendations according to customer's needs on moving services, boxes, supplies and equipment, and other value-added services. May recommend alternate services and/or products based on cost, availability or customer specifications.
- Educate customers on terminology, policies and procedures, anticipated delays and any additional information needed to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability.
- Comply with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements when scheduling moving services and staff.
- Continually maintain thorough understanding of all company products, services, pricing and promotions, in order to communicate the benefits and value of _TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®_, and effectively overcome any customer objections.
- Calmly and professionally handle displeased customers, and provide timely feedback to management regarding customer concerns.
- May assist management with scheduling and tracking of movers and drivers in accordance with move requirements.
- May prepare various reports for management, as well as gather research and statistics.
- May prepare various proposals, letters, mass mailings, and other miscellaneous correspondence.
- Assist in various marketing activities including networking, direct mail, social and website updates, and charitable move coordination.
- All other duties, as assigned by management.

**Job Requirements**:

- A minimum of one year of customer service and/or other office experience is required.
- Outside or inbound sales and/or _TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®_ or moving industry experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
- Effective listening and communication skills.
- Exceptional grammar, verbal skills and diction.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Accurate and consistent attention to detail.
- Confidence to initiate customer contact, and comfortable asking for the sale.

- Basic computer and keyboarding skills.

**Education**:

- High school diploma is required, college diploma is preferred.
