Full Time Store Lead

Vegan Supply is growing and we need a dedicated individual to join our cause. Our Store Lead position calls for the commitment to lead a team of passionate individuals who will guide our customers in a supportive and non-judgmental manner on vegan products and their path towards veganism (wherever they fall on the spectrum). This role will speak to you if you have been at the forefront for a start-up or are interested in a fast-growing business. We are looking to expand our offering into food service and need committed team members to help bring that side of the business to life. You will work with our leadership and management team to execute strategies that will showcase our brand, our values, and our culture. Most importantly, you will be helping to move veganism forward.

Responsibilities for Store Lead
- Maintain positive employee relations and morale while ensuring that Company Policies and procedures are being followed and maintained.
- Measure performance of staff, product lines, and store revenues/expenses.
- Deliver and drive excellent customer service to ensure customer needs are anticipated and met by coaching and modeling the desired behaviors.
- Collaborate on and develop, implement, and analyze sales strategies, budgets, and food service programs for the Surrey location.
- Manage the operation of the food service business unit.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate day-to-day operations.
- Place orders from vendors and from our main Vegan Supply location to maintain appropriate stock levels of food supplies and retail product inventory.
- Ensure store compliance with health, safety, and other regulations.
- Participate in marketing programs, including the store’s social media platforms.
- In store merchandising and organizing.
- Develop and arrange product demos and promotional events.
- Reduce product losses and facilitate repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Quickly problem solve for any issues that may arise such as customer dissatisfaction and supply shortage.
- Devise reports for the management and leadership team.
- Participate in overall business strategy to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
- Other responsibilities as required by the management and leadership team.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Supervisory or relevant leadership experience, 2 years.
- Food Service background or similar skill set.
- Solution-based thinker with high standards and the ability to follow through on actions and goals.
- Adherence to the philosophy of veganism in a supportive and compassionate manner to educate and assist customers in their vegan journey without judgment.
- Exceptional customer service, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Great eye for detail and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic, able to work effectively independently and as a team.
- Effective time management: comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Is able to stay productive when store traffic is slow.
- Dedicated and seeking long-term employment.

**Company Summary**

Vegan Supply opened its doors in 2014 with our first booth at Vancouver’s Veg Expo. Not long after, we started our online operations and began shipping products all across Canada and to other parts of the world. Since that time, we have shipped to many countries and have a store operating in Vancouver’s Chinatown and Surrey. Our company is unique in that its philosophy is one of social entrepreneurialism. By affecting change through the food we eat, we are able to heal our planet, give a voice to the voiceless (animals) and improve our health and wellbeing.
