This is a very hands-on job and not just an office job.
This position is for a store manager in a private liquor store in Surrey. This is a full time position that requires 40 hours a week. A manager is expected to be able to perform all of the following duties:
- Supervise and co-ordinate clerks to create proper chain of delegation. This includes assigning duties and ensuring that everything is completed properly;
- Supervise staff, including hiring and training employees, preparing work schedules, work and duty assignment, handle employee problem solving issues
- Conduct staff training on store products, proper customer service skills, and sales techniques
- Prepare and conduct performance evaluations
- Problem resolution for issues with customers, staff and suppliers;
- Establish and implement work procedures and recommend changes to policies
- Select new products to keep store selection up-to-date and in line with customer needs;
- Maintaining relationships with representatives from all companies that deal with liquor products;
- Oversee store merchandising;
- Maintain store inventory which includes weekly inventory checks as well as placing orders;
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports that are required (knowledge of excel required).
The successful applicant will have 3 - 5 years experience working in a liquor store. This person will be totally comfortable doing all tasks including scheduling, assigning duties and doing store financial and inventory reports. We would also like someone with a vast knowledge of product, including wine, beer, and spirits. This position will also require the successful applicant to have a valid Serving-it-Right certificate.

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
