Our client, a Confectionery and Baking Decor Company, with its office located in **Mississauga, ON**, is looking to hire a **Brand Manager** on a full-time, permanent basis to lead new brands that they are launching in the Canadian market, with growth to the US.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Product Development, the Brand Manager will lead brand management to deliver the objectives for growth, innovation, execution, and financial results. They will also lead the strategy and execution for the annual marketing plans to achieve top and bottom-line objectives while building brand equity.
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Brand Manager who is passionate about marketing and capable of working in a busy, rapidly evolving company. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will get to collaborate, develop and implement building programs that drive consumer awareness and adoption.
**Responsibilities**
- Key contributor in developing and deploying brand strategies that accelerate brand growth to deliver on short and long-term objectives.
- Clearly articulate actionable strategies and tactics with clear (ROI and KPIs) measurement processes in place.
- Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues.
- Oversee marketing, advertising and sales activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy
- Brainstorm new and innovative ways to generate trial and awareness.
- Analyze in-market performance and results to develop actionable insights which contribute to further growth.
- Lead development and implementation of key marketing initiatives such as; promotional programs, experiential marketing, in-store demonstrations, packaging, qualitative/quantitative research
- Develop digital media and creative with the Director of Marketing across social, digital and brand websites.
- Support innovation projects from concept through to in-market execution in conjunction with cross-functional teams
**Must Haves**
- Business/Marketing degree
- 2-3 years of brand marketing experience at a consumer goods company
- Experience working with confectionery, baking décor or salty snack brands would be an asset
- Demonstrated experience developing and launching innovation with a proven ability to execute a brand marketing plan grounded in key strategies in a rapidly changing organization
- Strong knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) and passion for metrics and trends along with a proven track record of acting on data.
