Line Haul Regional Team Lead

- Daily Tasks:

- Lead the day-to-day accountabilities and team in order to continue building our regional line haul operations.
- Manage linehaul carrier performance within the region and collaborate with other regions.
- Develop regional team skills and determine objectives to achieve superior performance.
- Collaborate with Linehaul Manager to develop and manage operational metrics and continuous improvement initiatives both internally and with carriers, as well as development of SOPs.
- Follow up with carriers regarding lates and exceptions with plans for improvement.
- Lead regional initiatives to ensure administrative quality of linehaul transactions such as on time uploads of Proof of Deliveries, POD’s, and weekly submissions of carrier invoices.
- Reconcile unmatched invoices/rates with carriers.
- Analyze lane costs and reconfigure to improve utilization of equipment and lower overall costs.
- Develop KPI’s and continuous improvement initiatives both internally and with carriers.
- Implement monitor and control processes to report on time performance by lane and by carrier daily.
- Lead initiatives for implementing regional network changes for speed and cost improvement.
- Work closely with Hubs to support Sort & Last Mile operations teams to meet on time performance.

What do you need to be successful?
- 3-5 years of experience in the transportation industry with solid leadership and line haul experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- A strong sense of entrepreneurship, an ability to cope quickly with unforeseen events and changes.
- Knowledge of current transport laws and regulations.
- Flexibility and ability to travel when required.
- Ideally can communicate in French and in English.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage linehaul transportation, and other logistics processes between Stations & Hubs.
- Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
- Partner and communicate with suppliers, vendors and customers.
- Manage and develop staff.
- Monitor regional carrier on time and budget performance.

What are the typical qualifications for Regional Linehaul Team Lead jobs?
- 3+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
- Firm grasp of Transportation conditions in Canada including geographic challenges.
- Management principles.
- Strong team player with the ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of logistics software.
