**Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team at McLaughlin Meats in Red Deer (Gasoline Alley). In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of meat cutting, food handling, and customer service, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

**Responsibilities**
- Meat cutting for our fresh service counter and custom orders. Producing value added products for our retail store.
- Following the direction of the store manager and completing tasks in the cutting room in a timely manner.
- Understanding and following our comprehensive health and safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety.
- Maintain a clean and regularly sanitized environment.
- Preparation and merchandising of the product, including cutting, trimming, grinding, wrapping and preparing for display.
- Loading and unloading, and receiving merchandise. **Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.**:

- Receive orders and accurately account for invoiced products.
- Maintaining day-to-day image standards and cleanliness, sterilization of knives and tools
- This position will work collaboratively with all other store employees.
- Opening and closing responsibilities.
- Answering customer questions/inquiries and order taking.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of meat cutting experience. Formal training or certificate is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
- Quality communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Willingness to participate in a Criminal Record Background Check
