**Job Description**:
Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for leading the Plant in its mission of safely producing quality waffles / pancakes at a competitive cost.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversees, directs, and coordinates a multiple shift production facility in the manufacturing process from receipt of raw ingredients to the production of the final product.
- Responsible for developing and directing employees and leaders, which ensures employee safety, product safety, product quality, product efficiency and ultimately the product profitability.
- Establishes clear goals and accountability to subordinates and provides performance feedback on a regular basis. Mentors, develops and trains subordinates in current position and for future career growth.
- Assesses production capabilities of the department and makes recommendations in order to maintain pace with demand.
- Works with outside vendors and internal engineering in the design of production lines and production equipment.
- Coordinates with Production Scheduling on efficient run strategies and adjust schedules between shifts as necessary to maintain full efficient production.
- Ensures continuous improvements at all levels and in all processes within scope of responsibility.
- Works with the quality department to minimize possible contamination and improve product quality.
- Ensures products meet all identified product tolerances and product specifications.
- Creates an environment for employee participation, empowerment and perception of being stakeholders.
- Assists in the development of a plant budget and capital plan.
- Participates and helps develop and implement strategic plan.
- Works effectively with outside vendors, customers and officials.
- Responsible for maintaining food safety (SQF) in work responsibilities and reporting food safety issues to QA immediately.
- Maintains favorable plant community relations through participation in service and business organizations.
- Administer proper internal controls to safeguard Company assets.
- Responsible for maintaining food safety in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to Q A immediately.
- In the event of absence, the Plant Manager will fill in for the Operations Manager.

Skills, Experience and Education:

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience in progressively expanding roles including a minimum of two (2) years in plant leadership role.
- Results-driven with a strong desire to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be well versed in the latest Manufacturing Improvement methods and procedures to drive business results and customer satisfaction.
- Must have requisite leadership skills and experience to thoroughly develop/challenge the organization to achieve high performance.
- Must be a self-starter who can accomplish results in an ambiguous environment with little or no direction.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities to achieve desired financial, quality and customer service goals.
