**Reports To**

Warehouse Manager Ottawa, and Assistant Buyer

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a key member to our Operations team, you will be responsible for the Warehouse and the day-to-day activities and tasks to ensure the efficient and timely picking, loading, shipping and storage of our products to meet client needs. The Warehouse Associate should be punctual, and adhere to all health and safety laws. They can work closely with other staff, but mostly on their own, to accomplish their tasks and duties.

**Job Duties**
- Ensure client’s requirements are met, including timelines, inventory levels, processing orders and communicating with all parties involved.
- Ensures returns and/or cancelled orders are put away on the same day they are received.
- Ensures that the warehouse is properly maintained, including good housekeeping practices being applied, proper equipment, tools and vehicle maintenance and preventative maintenance is carried out, actioned and documented, etc.
- Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices
- Provide exceptional service, consultation and customer experience to anyone who either enters our store or contacts us.
- Have an understanding of our vast product types, how to pick, pack and ship them, and continually and proactively familiarizing yourself with new product types; this is in addition to the training we provide.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Operate lifting devices such as forklifts and pallet jacks, once authorized to do so.
- Other related duties as required
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic by conducting self with integrity and demonstrating a sense of personal responsibility in all aspects of the work.

**Job Requirements**
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs frequently
- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
- Strong client service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated time management skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
