Position Overview
The Chief Estimator will lead the estimating and cost engineering functions for MEP Services Group, playing a critical role in pre-construction activities and strategic planning. This is a leadership-level position responsible for building and managing a high-performing estimating team, shaping internal processes, and providing key reporting and insights to senior management. The Chief Estimator will be actively involved in company strategy, leadership development, vendor and market relationships, and ongoing process optimization.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all estimating and cost engineering efforts across MEP Services Group
- Build. lead and manage the estimating department, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards
- Collaborate with ownership and senior leadership to continuously evolve the estimating function
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to estimating team members
- Develop and refine estimating processes, systems, and tools for improved accuracy and efficiency
- Support pre-construction efforts in coordination with the project and business development teams
- Conduct internal reporting on estimating performance and departmental KPIs
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
- Conduct market outreach to stay competitive and informed on trends and pricing
- Represent the estimating division at management meetings, strategic retreats, and the company’s AGM
- Participate in bi-annual departmental reviews to ensure continuous alignment with company objectives

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical estimating, ideally within ICI construction
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong background in cost estimating, budgeting, and pre-construction planning
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in cost forecasting
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems preferred
- Experience in vendor and subcontractor relationship management
- Ability to work collaboratively at all levels of an organization

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $135,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
