The Administrative Assistant, Public Works is a key member of the 3-person Administrative Assistant, Public Works team and will report to the Public Works Manager of Operations and will work directly with the Operations and Road Maintenance Foremen.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one hour lunch break.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Interact with everyone in a helpful, courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
- Maintain effective communications and keep all Public Works team members informed.
- Complete research requests, prepare reports, and maintain files.
- Timesheet data entry for payroll.

**Qualifications**
- 2 to 5 years’ reception, administration, and/or client facing experience in an office environment.
- Office Administration Diploma or combination of Administrative Certifications or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills including handling complaints and issues.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

**Asset**
- GIS mapping experience inquiries and map production.
- Experience in public works, road construction, and/or maintenance industries.
- Knowledge and Experience in Bellamy/Serenic financial systems.
- Previous Municipal experience.
- Knowledge of Records Management including Laserfiche.
