Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain security systems including CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), Card access and telecommunication equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to facilitate system setup and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of security hardware such as power tools, hand tools, sensors, and low voltage wiring.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security hardware, ensuring optimal operation of all components.
- Collaborate with construction teams during facility upgrades or new installations to integrate security systems seamlessly.
- Monitor security systems continuously to detect potential threats or malfunctions; respond promptly to incidents or alarms.
- Troubleshoot issues related to computer hardware, networking, and telecommunication systems involved in security infrastructure.
- Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports accurately for compliance purposes.
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements. Skills
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams related to security systems.
- Experience with construction processes as they relate to installing or upgrading security infrastructure.
- Proficiency in computer hardware setup and troubleshooting within networked environments.
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring, sensors, power tools, hand tools, and telecommunication cabling.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and schematics for system integration.
- Understanding of computer networking principles essential for configuring networked security devices.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to installing physical components securely in various environments.
- Ability to work with power tools safely and effectively during installation or maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems used in modern security solutions.
