At WE Seniors Strathcona, we support older adults in our community through engaging programs, helpful resources, and welcoming spaces. Now, we’re looking for someone versatile, detail-oriented, and collaborative to help us keep everything running smoothly.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, multi-tasking position that blends office administration, event coordination, and communications support. You’ll be the kind of person who can greet a visitor, answer a phone call, schedule a presentation, and still have time to help with our graphic design and social media posts.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Pitch in where needed
- Greet visitors, understand their needs, and assist them with warmth and professionalism
- Assist with food sales, collect payments, and support daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Help plan and run event from:

- booking speakers
- supporting guest speakers and attendees during presentations
- follow up with presenters and guest speakers after events
- Help with marketing:

- Create, edit, proofread, and post website and social media updates
- Assist in preparing regularly scheduled reports
- Pitch in on other duties as assigned by the manager

You Might Be a Great Fit If You
- Are a strong generalist who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Have a great eye for detail and presentation (web pages, event setups, social posts—you name it)
- Are comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress
- Know your way around Google Suite and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Embrace feedback and adapt quickly
- Are a self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems without waiting for instructions
- Have experience supporting events and logistics

Requirements and skills
- A positive attitude and a team player
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office

Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Location: 140, 501 Festival Avenue, Sherwood Park, AB
- Salary: Will be discussed at interview

WE Seniors offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that includes a Health Spending Account with no employee contribution required, matching RRSP contributions up to 5%, a 1% Health and Wellness benefit, and three weeks of vacation within the first year of employment (pro-rated from the start date), with annual entitlement increasing based on years of service up to five years. Salary will be discussed during the interview process.
