**Job Description **Seasonal Equipment Operator I

The City of Port Moody is seeking an enthusiastic and hard working individual to safely and independently operate a variety of machinery and mobile equipment while performing construction and labouring duties, including grass cutting. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position with our Parks department.

The Equipment Operator I will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and labouring tasks and will operate various pieces of stationary and mobile equipment, including ride-on grass-cutting equipment, and will respond to emergency call-outs as well as other special projects and event work.

**Basic**

**Qualifications**:

- High school graduation (Grade 12) supplemented by a minimum six months of labouring experience, including machinery operation (including ride on grass cutting equipment), truck driving, landscaping, construction, and / or public works
- Experience and training with small equipment; experience with ride on mower
- Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform heavy, manual, outdoor labour in all weather conditions
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with Air Endorsement is required
