Dear Grain is seeking two Full-time Production lead with baking experience to join our bakery team. We are looking for someone caring, passionate, and dynamic who is interested in committing themselves to the craft of making sourdough pastries.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee day-to-day workflow on the production floor
- Communicate production issues, needs, and feedback to the Production Manager
- Assist with inventory management, production planning and ordering of supplies
- Scale and mix a variety of doughs and batters (cookies, scones, loaf cakes, etc.)
- Portion and bake products to spec with precision and care
- Package and organize wholesale and orders
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are upheld at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Lead by example: set the tone for pace, quality, teamwork, and accountability
- Help train and onboard new staff, ensuring consistency across shifts

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year experience in a high-volume production kitchen or food manufacturing environment
- Minimum 1 year experience in pastry production or baking (not including home baking
- Culinary or Baking & Pastry education from a recognized institution (preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and execute consistent results
- Experient with building production plans
- Proficient with industrial kitchen skills and equipment, including large volume mixers, bowl lifts, extruders etc.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control
- Physically agile, able to stand for long periods, and lift up to 25kg as needed
- Please note: This position does not involve cake decorating

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
