Accounting Admin Assistant

**Job Overview**:
Hours for this role are full-time, in-office, based in our Richmond Corporate Office, **Monday to Friday**, **8:30 am to 5:00 pm**. HME offers a competitive wage and a full benefits package, including extended medical benefits. No remote work option is available.
**Key responsibilities**:
Reporting to the accounting manager, the intermediate accountant will perform these duties:
- Monthly bank reconciliation for the company
- Book monthly automated expenses for non-trade vendors
- Assist accounts payable clerk in inputting and reconciling vendor statements
- Filing GST reports
- Managing property, plant, and equipment schedules and prepaid expenses
- Booking intercompany transactions between the company and its holding companies
- Reconciling visa statements
- Reconciling American Express statements
- Reconciling float expense system statements
- Invoicing out transactions
- Reviewing and reconciling inventory
- Performing inventory write-offs
- Preparing inventory analysis
- Other accounting duties may be required
**What you offer**:
- Previous Accounting experience is required.
- Organized, Task-Oriented.
- Ability to learn and work independently as well as within a team.
- Comfortable with computers - Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a friendly, positive attitude and possess the ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced environment.
