Medical Affairs Manager

Key responsibilities and duties for this job

Act as member of the multidisciplinary brand team to help guide the medical strategic direction in therapeutic areas

Contribute to the content of promotional materials and approve promotional materials

Conduct literature searches and filter for relevant scientific data and competitive intelligence

Help create convincing communication strategies in cooperation with marketing and external partners

Advise on the content of promotional materials and approve promotional materials

Develop good relationships with key opinion leaders to be advocates for B+L products

Plan and conduct medical trainings for field representatives and respond to medical questions concerning B+L products stemming from the field

Conduct advisory boards and round tables to gather medical insights and guide strategy

Engage with KOLs for scientific exchanges and sights

Collaborate with the Clinical Team on the development of data generation and publication plans

Provide direction and input into the development and implementation of successful reimbursement and market-access strategies

Support in preparing and representing B+L Canada in the context of clinical activities, conferences, external presentations

Maintain oversight of medical information services

Lead and manage medical education programs in collaboration with

Key requirements for this job

Education

MD/PhD/PharmD/OD

Experience

Experience in eye care is a plus

Minimum of 3 years of medical affairs experience in pharma/device industry

A general understanding of GCP and regulatory requirements

Ability to lead by example, build interdependent partnerships and create a culture of collaboration and teamwork

Able to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously

Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, as well as the proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams involving multi-functional disciplines

Proven ability to develop internal relationships as well as external relationships with medical experts

Able to communicate effectively at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
